Doodle #2: Double Doodle
Double Doodle: The Two-Handed Dance
This innovative technique engages both brain hemispheres by having participants use both hands simultaneously. Participants begin creating synchronized patterns and shapes after positioning the paper for full access and selecting two markers. Starting with simple movements, they can progress to more complex designs - some choosing mirror images, others allowing their hands to move independently. The beauty lies in its unpredictability; unexpected and often delightful patterns emerge as both hands move across the paper. The exercise naturally promotes bilateral coordination and mindful focus while reducing performance pressure. The instructional vignette demonstrates how this dual-handed approach can lead to abstract patterns and more defined images, all while engaging the brain in unique ways.
